Pastor of Pastoral Care

I have been married to Michael Palandro, for 40 years, and we have worked together in ministry for 37 of those years. In the early days, we worked with university students leading campus ministry in Michigan and Missouri, and the last 30 years have been spent on staff here at the Vineyard Church of Houston.

Although I have been officially on the administrative staff in the past, I have worked most often in an unofficial pastoral role. Now I am delighted to be officially on the pastoral team and collaborating with the other pastors: brainstorming, problem solving, encouraging, envisioning, and planning. And of course I will continue to do the things I’ve always done: pray with others, counsel, coach, and give pastoral care.

I have sensed God's calling on my life from the time I was a teenager. Through the years, my heart’s desire has been for others to come to know, love and follow Jesus Christ. From childhood, I have been taught to love and appreciate the value of the church. It has been a place of family for me - a place where I can be known and truly know others. I have established life-long friendships in this place of love, care, and healing.

I’ve enjoyed all the stages and roles of my life including full-time employment in corporate personnel, a stay at home mom (and grandma!), and part-time employment in business administration. It excites me that no matter what stage of life or job I find myself in - living with Christ at the center makes every day an adventure.

Being a continuous learner, I like to travel and read. I also enjoy gardening and spending time with my grandchildren and family.
